Bites & Builds: Our Sag Harbor Favorites
A few of our go-to spots for great food and even better design.
At Zappola Construction, we’re proud to shape the look and feel of Sag Harbor—from new builds to thoughtful renovations. But when we’re not behind the scenes bringing spaces to life, you’ll find us enjoying some of the incredible local restaurants we’re lucky to have just steps away.
These are more than just dining spots. They’re places we’ve built, worked on, or admire for their quality, creativity, and craftsmanship. Whether you’re visiting for the weekend or live down the block, here are a few of our favorite places to eat, unwind, and experience Sag Harbor’s unique character.
K Pasa
Bold food. Bright space. Built by us.
K Pasa brings a playful twist to coastal dining, with inventive tacos, fresh cocktails, and an atmosphere that keeps things light and lively. Zappola Construction led the interior renovation, reimagining the flow, maximizing functionality, and adding bold, custom finishes to match the spirit of the brand. It’s a space that feels as good as it looks, and we’re proud to have had a hand in bringing it to life.
Order tip: Don’t skip the crispy fish taco and a spicy marg.
Sen
A Sag Harbor staple, thoughtfully reimagined.
Sen has long been a cornerstone of Sag Harbor’s dining scene, known for its refined Japanese cuisine and consistent quality. When it came time for a full interior renovation, the team at Zappola Construction was honored to take it on. The goal was to maintain the restaurant’s reputation for elegance while updating the space for modern use and longevity.
From custom millwork to layout improvements, every detail was approached with the precision and craftsmanship that define both the restaurant and our team. Today, Sen continues to serve as a beloved local favorite, now with a refreshed space that reflects its excellence.
Order tip: The Sag Harbor roll is a must.
Back Page
A moody, modern bar tucked behind a Sag Harbor classic.
Located just behind Page at 63 Main, Back Page is a hidden gem that delivers craft cocktails in a refined, intimate setting. Zappola Construction led the full build-out, transforming an underutilized space into a sleek, design-forward lounge with custom millwork, ambient lighting, and subtle architectural nods to Sag Harbor’s rich history.
Every element, from the layout to the lighting details, was chosen to create atmosphere. It’s the kind of space that invites you to stay awhile.
Order tip: The Naked & Famous—mezcal, chartreuse & Aperol—is as bold as the space itself.
Wölffer Kitchen
A thoughtfully built space rooted in local elegance.
Though Wölffer Kitchen has since closed its doors, it remains one of our most memorable builds in Sag Harbor. Designed to reflect the signature sophistication of the Wölffer brand, the space featured refined finishes, a bright and welcoming palette, and a layout built for both comfort and connection.
From the custom bar to the open, airy dining room, every element was constructed to support a modern, wine-forward dining experience. We're proud to have played a role in its story.
Why We Care
We build a lot of things, but what we care about most is how spaces make people feel. Restaurants are where people connect, celebrate, and share time, and we’re honored to play a part in shaping those environments. These Sag Harbor spots are some of our personal favorites, not just because of the food, but because of the intention behind the design. We’re proud to support them and even prouder to help bring some of them to life.
